חם, חם היה היום. עוד לא נגמר מרץ וכבר פעמי הקיץ בדלתנו. וזמן שנצלתי בחום הכבד, חשבתי על אחת מהבעיות הגדולות בארצנו, לפחות לטווח ארוך - אנרגיה חלופית לנפט.
כבר עשרות שנים שבעולם מתעסקים בבעיה זו, והיא תופסת כותרות בכל פעם שיש משבר אנרגיה עולמי, כמו בשנות השבעים ועכשיו. ובכן, מדינת ישראל מזניחה תחום זה, כמו גם את בעיית המים, במשך עשורים רבים. ובכן, לא למדנו לקח מהעובדה שנגמרו לנו המים? האם לא נמאס לנו לממן ארגוני טרור ע"י קניית נפט ממדינות ערב?
אני לא מומחה לתחום, אבל הנה רעיון ששווה לפחות בדיקה ובטח אני לא הראשון שמעלה אותו). במדינתנו יש שמש וחם מאד רוב השנה ("שמש חזקה") . מדוע לא לפרוס משטחים לקליטת קרני השמש, כמו דודי השמש, על כל גגות הבניינים? בנוסף, כל חשמל שמיוצר בצורה שו, יועבר קודם לחברת החשמל ובעל הקולט (בעל הדירה) יזוכה בכמות החשמל שהוא מייצר. כך, גם כאשר אנחנו לא משתמשים בחשמל בבית, נניח ביום כאשר רוב האנשים בעבודה, החשמל נאגר ולא מתבזבז. אני חושב שתהליך זה מותאם להפליא לארצנו. אז, תחשבו על זה.
It was really hot today in Israel. March is not over and already summer is nocking on our doors. And while I was roasting outside, I was thinking on one of our major problems in Israel, at least for the long range - an alternative energy for oil.
For decades people around the world are dealing with this problem, and it takes the headlines whenever there is an energy crisis, such as in the seventies and now. Well, Israel neglects this problem, as it neglects the water problem here, for decades. Didn't we learn the lesson from running out of water this year? Aren't we tired of funding terrorists by buyinhg oil from Arab countries?
I am not an energy expert, but here is an idea worth pondering about (and I am sure I am not the first one to suggest it). We have sun during most of the year in Israel. Why not to place solar collectors on all of roof tops. Additionally, all the electricity generated that way is first transfered to the Electricity company, while the collector owner (the appartment owner) will recieve a deduction in the monthly electricity bill according to the amount of electricity her collector generates. That way, the electricity generated is not wasted away if no one is using any electricity at home (for example, when people are at work). I think this process fits wonderfully to our country. So, think about it...

מעניין.. האמת שבעבר גם אני חשבתי על זה.... אבל... אני לא הייתי מתפלא שאם היית מתקין קולטי שמש היית צריך לשלם על זה לחברת החשמל כ"פיצוי" על אובדן הכנסות פוטנציאלי שלהם.. :-)
Man, I've gone through a lot to be able to say this. Anyways, you answered one of my questions on yahoo, about recursive definitions. I wanted to thank you personally because your answer was perfect. It really helped me out, it not only gave me the knowledge to code the program myself but also learn new ways to think about recursive searches. Thank you very much, man.
